Service & panel upgrades

Electrical service & panel upgrades

NJ Lic. #14695 · FL EC13014803

100, 150 and 200 amp service upgrades and panel changes, or other more economical options may be available, call for details.

Your electrical panel is the first line of defense for your whole home. When it is undersized, overloaded or aging, it can become a real fire risk, and it may not support a new EV charger, a heat pump or an addition. Elite Electric upgrades your service to 100, 150 or 200 amp and replaces worn panels, sized correctly and installed to code.

Signs you may need a service or panel upgrade

  • Breakers trip often or the panel feels warm
  • You are adding an EV charger, hot tub or central AC
  • A fuse box or an old, full panel with no room
  • Flickering lights when big appliances start
  • Selling a home: a new service upgrade replacing an old, outdated service is a great selling feature

Common questions

Questions

Do I need a 100, 150 or 200 amp service?

It depends on your home's size, your appliances and your plans. Most modern homes with central AC and an EV charger require a 200 amp service. We can confirm the right size with an on-site load calculation before recommending anything.

Do you pull the permit?

Yes. A service or panel upgrade in New Jersey requires a permit and inspection. We handle all the paperwork so the work is legal and code-compliant.

How long does a panel upgrade take?

Most residential service upgrades are a one-day job. Knowing the hardships of being without electricity, in all private residences and facilities requiring electric for vital operations, power outages will be restored as quickly as possible. We confirm the schedule and the inspection with you up front.
